Club member Jill Balsam is showing her work as part of the Art in Bloom exhibit presented by the Clifton Art Center Gallery. It runs from November 10 until December 18, 2010. The exhibit showcases floral and nature landscape designs in various media such as oil, pastels, watercolors and mixed-media by five regional artists.

The artists are Sandy Askey-Adams, Jill S. Balsam, Christine Calandra, Janet Golabek and Lisa Palombo. There will be a reception open to the public on Saturday, November 13th, 2010 from 1pm – 4pm.

Even though the Fall and Winter months are upon us, there is a visual magical twist in the exhibit “Art In Bloom”. It reminds viewers that the visual radiance of blooming flowers and landscapes can still cheer our cold and crispy season. Through art, we can still recall the fragrance of sunny days; keeping the warmth of Art In Bloom in our hearts.

“Every painting is an experience of life, part of the journey and I love that journey. Just gazing at a tree with its twists and turns is exciting. Nature is ever-changing with an inexhaustible source of inspiration…” states Sandy Askey-Adams, nationally recognized Pastel Society of America artist who resides in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.

Jill S. Balsam of Lodi, New Jersey uses her artistic endeavors to take her more and more into the world of mixed-media via digital painting including other mediums such as pastel pencils, acrylic paints and other materials.
