May 14, 1952 – Oct. 24, 2013

Teaneck Camera Club recently lost one of its most talented photographers, Robert Paul Jagendorf. Bob was an extremely generous soul who freely offered advice about cameras, photography and any other topic in which he was well-versed. In September, he gave a well-received presentation to club members on how to sell photos on Flickr. He recently volunteered to be Co-Chair of Digital Competitions.

Bob was an entrepreneur who founded two companies: Mercom, which manufactures Audiolog, a high end digital recording system used to record telephony based transactions; and AB Communications, A NYC based reseller of telecommunications equipment. He sold both companies and, as he wrote on his LinkedIn profile, he was “retired, enjoying life, hanging out, sleeping late, and taking photos.”

He was educated at Hunter College and the International Center of Photography. Bob is survived by two sons, Michael and Alex.

In addition to Bob’s Flickr Photostream, he also maintained a Tumbr blog of his photos.

Club members and friends will have an opportunity to toast his memory on Saturday, November 9 at 8 pm at:

Houlihan’s Restaurant, 1200 Harbor Blvd (next to the Sheraton Hotel), Weehawken, NJ.
